You seem to confuse "large numbers of sales" with the meaning of monopoly. As Ian Anderson sang, "Show me a good man, and I'll show you the door."īut by golly, this "all things being equal" nonsense just shows a lack of any knowledge whatsoever. Just look at what our American government is doing to our economy, spending our money like it's about to cease to exist. Yes, corporations aren't staffed with angels. Since Home came out, I see why SCEJ pulled the plug on it, but back then we didn't know. All I could see is the typical Japanese elitism, telling the rest of us how things would be done. I even slammed SONY SCEJ when it came to light that SCE America had a working online structure complete with finance systems in place, VOIP, buddy lists, lobbies and an achievement system. I love their pro products, sort of, because while they're excellent, you sure pay for them, and repair costs are pretty darn high. I posted how much I hated how SONY had some Microsoft-itis, in charging for many of the things the other two console makers gave us free - MS wasn't in the game once upon a time - such as dual controllers and memory for game saves. I was one of those pointing out the DRM issues when it came to light. I know this is mostly ancient history on the boards, but I've slammed SONY when they deserved it. I have a feeling that I have to add to this, because no doubt someone will bring up the CD DRM issue among others. Anyone who says they're all the same simply has their brain shut down. I do think it isn't particularly wise to support a blatantly unscrupulous company that does things to its customers like selling a known defective product for well over a year, as well as the shenanigans I posted above. However, it still doesn't mean someone is "stupid" if they buy a 360.
